Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a Financial Reporting Accountant has become available within the Financial Reporting and Treasury team within the National Finance & Administration department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a permanent full-time position.

The Financial Reporting and Treasury team are responsible for preparing accurate financial statements and managing the cash flow, liquidity, and funding to support business operations. They ensure compliance with accounting standards and optimise treasury activities to maintain financial stability.

What does the role look like?

• Perform daily and month end accounting activities in an accurate and timely manner.
• Preparing accurate and timely financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Conducting detailed financial analysis to support management decision-making and business strategy.
• Assist the wider team in fulfilling requirements for auditing and compliance.
• Engage in process improvements and various ad hoc projects where applicable. 
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience of accounting standards and legislation within a professional setting.
• CA/CPA accreditation or equivalent from other countries (or working towards).
• Strong analytical capabilities and proficient in utilising various reporting tools to analyse data - in particular with Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate across various levels of the business.
• Proven organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience in SAP S/4 Hana is highly desirable.

Remuneration

• Transparent tiered salary range of $114,700 - $136,800 including Superannuation.
