Responsibilities
- Build and refine the early sales playbook for Ataraxis Breast, making it the standard of care platform for treatment selection in breast cancer in record time, replacing legacy genomic assays and creating commercial moat from future competitors.
- You are expected to be in the field together with the sales team that reports to you, until Ataraxis grows and more structure and management is needed. You will be expected to act as a player-coach, with more focus on the "player" part in the beginning.
- Design and implement a hiring plan that anticipates growth, building a world-class sales organization from the ground up.
- Recruit, coach, and mentor high-performing sales professionals, instilling a culture of urgency, accountability, and excellence.
- Develop and execute a territory strategy that supports sustainable scaling, including optimizing coverage models and regional priorities.
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, medical affairs, operations, and product to align go-to-market execution with company strategy.
- Represent Ataraxis externally with oncologists, health systems, and partners as a trusted commercial leader.
Qualifications
- Proven sales leadership in high-growth environments — track record of driving successful product launches and scaling volume/revenue from early commercialization to broad market adoption.
- Strong background in diagnostics and/or pharmaceutical sales to oncologists. Experience in diagnostics required (at least 2 years).
- Entrepreneurial mindset with unrelenting drive — thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments without bureaucracy, comfortable building and operating within limited structure.
- Strong preference for candidates with existing network of breast oncologists and surgeons.
- Strong preference for candidates based in Texas or Florida.
