EOI - Communications Coordinator (Customer Experience) – NSW Trustee and Guardian

  • Temporary full-time vacancy – Up to 6 months.
  • 35 hours per week.
  • Location: This role is based in Sydney (Wynyard). Flexible and hybrid working options available.
  • Clerk Grade: Level. Base salary $99,938 p.a. to $110,271 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the team 
The Customer Experience division provides a wide range of specialist support across NSW Trustee and Guardian divisions including customer advocacy support, service design, business development, marketing, brand, communications, and media services.


About the role
The role works within the Customer Engagement team and provides support to deliver a range of engaging communications initiatives, strategies, and projects, internally and externally. The role collaborates with key stakeholders to provide specialist advice and guidance that leads to improved customer experience outcomes and positive brand awareness.  

This is an exciting opportunity that will see you:

  • Assist in developing and delivering effective communication projects that drive improved customer experience, with particular focus on internal projects, consistently demonstrating NSW Trustee and Guardian’s Customer Excellence principles.
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Assist in developing proactive communications content for application across multiple channels, including website, and social media to drive NSW Trustee and Guardian’s brand reputation.
  • Provide timely communications advice to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure customer communications are in plain English, meet customer needs and align with all NSW Government and NSW Trustee and Guardian’s brand guidelines.
  • Apply best practice industry methodologies standards and guidelines to ensure delivery of quality outcomes within established timeframes and project plans.
  • Evaluate performance and measure success, identifying opportunities for continual improvement.
  • Undertake research and analysis to support and deliver priority projects.

About you
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: 

  • Motivated, results-driven and creative communications specialist who can support the delivery of communications initiatives by helping others understand customer perspectives, issues and opportunities
  • Passionate about creating communications that connect, engage, and inspire people to think differently and take action  
  • Work collaboratively to build rapport and relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experienced in communications across multiple channels, including digital content, for a diverse range of customer groups
  • Some previous experience in events coordination or management is highly desirable
  • Able to work independently and manage competing priorities to deliver work outputs that build brand reputation, support continuous improvement, and drive positive customer experience outcomes

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience working within the services sector, professional and or community focussed areas across a diverse range of customer groups.
