How You Will Make an Impact
As the Head of Technology Infrastructure & Operations, you will lead the execution and compliance of Atlas’ field and corporate technology operations. You will be responsible for strengthening infrastructure reliability, improving service delivery, and building accountability across IT and OT systems. You will also develop and mentor our field Technology teams to ensure Atlas’ growth is supported by disciplined, reliable, and compliant operations.
Location: Kermit or Monahans, Texas or Austin TX (50% Travel to WTX)
Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of networks, servers, storage, and OT systems across corporate, plant, and mine environments.
- Implement and optimize tools for asset management, monitoring, vulnerability management, and remote site visibility.
- Drive infrastructure standardization to reduce outages and ensure resilient uptime.
Service Delivery & Execution
- Enhance and mature service desk operations leveraging ITIL framework and SLA reporting.
- Establish asset self-service tools and monitoring dashboards that improve uptime and end-user satisfaction.
- Ensure technology solutions meet the needs of manufacturing, logistics, and corporate operations.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Develop and enforce Technology policies, procedures, and standards to ensure alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Close SOX/SOD gaps by embedding audit-ready, compliant processes into daily operations.
- Safeguard people, systems, and data through proactive security and reliability practices.
Leadership & Project Management
- Lead Field Technology projects from conception through completion, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop project roadmaps and execution plans that align Technology initiatives with business priorities.
- Mentor and upskill field technology teams, building structured career paths and reducing reliance on tribal knowledge.
- Collaborate with senior management and peer Technology leaders to ensure alignment, transparency, and consistent performance reporting.
Collaboration & Innovation
- Partner with external vendors, contractors, and consultants to deliver cost-effective, resilient solutions.
- Identify and leverage new technologies that optimize manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
- Foster open communication with field leadership, ensuring Technology remains a trusted partner to the business.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of IT leadership experience
- Proven experience with large-scale infrastructure operations, including ERP, MES, and SCADA.
- Strong understanding of NOC operations, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent project management skills with experience overseeing budgets and large-scale technology rollouts.
