What You Will Own

  • Talent Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies that align with Saxbys' business objectives and growth plans. Create innovative approaches to attract top talent in both cafe operations and corporate roles.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the Campus Recruiting team, ensuring they have the tools, knowledge, and support to excel in their roles. Provide guidance on complex recruiting challenges and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Recruitment Process Management: Design, implement, and optimize recruitment processes that deliver exceptional candidate experiences while efficiently identifying top talent. Ensure compliance with multi-state employment regulations throughout the hiring process.
  • Academic Partnerships: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key academic institutions to support the Experiential Learning Platform and create sustainable talent pipelines. Collaborate with the Academic team to align recruiting efforts with educational objectives.
  • Hiring Analytics: Develop meaningful metrics to track recruitment effectiveness and provide data-driven insights to leadership. Utilize analytics to continuously improve recruitment strategies and processes.

Who You Will Support

  • Executive Team: Provide strategic guidance on talent acquisition strategies and market insights that impact business objectives.
  • Operations Team: Partner closely with operations leaders to understand staffing needs, address recruitment challenges, and implement solutions that support cafe operations across multiple states.
  • Academic Team: Collaborate with academic partners to align recruitment efforts with educational programs and ensure successful implementation of the Experiential Learning Platform.
  • Department Heads: Work with department leaders to develop talent acquisition strategies that address their specific needs while maintaining consistency across the organization.
  • Marketing Team: Support recruitment marketing efforts to ensure our value proposition is clear to prospective team members.

Who You Will Supervise

This position will supervise between 3-6 direct reports.

What You Have Done

  • 5+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated success in higher education recruiting and retail operations hiring
  • Proven track record in corporate/HQ-level recruiting
  • Experience mentoring and developing internal talent
  • Experience building and leading high-performing recruiting teams
  • Understanding of academic credit programs (preferred)
  • Experience managing recruitment for part-time student workforce (preferred)

What Is Required

  • Support, exhibit, and promote Saxbys Mission and Core Values in all daily activities
  • Travel requirement up to 25%
  • Valid driver's license
  • Physical requirements:
    • Able to stand, walk, and smile for extended periods of time
    • Able to stoop and kneel
    • Push, pull, lift or carry up to 35 lbs
