ECS is seeking a Technology Strategist to work in our Arlington, VA office.  Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

The Strategist is responsible for driving innovative initiatives that improve the alignment of the Justice and Homeland Security Business Unit (JHSBU) workforce and the practices they use, such that we continue to operate as a high-performing producer of quality IT products and services to both our federal customers and within the ECS organization. The JHSBU believes in the values and principles of Agile, therefore this role is expected to support the development of a generative culture that focuses on highly collaborative teams who are close to their customers, deliver value frequently, and align strategically to our business model and current state of corporate maturity.

This role will require regular contact with customer leadership within the contract, develop strategic plans, and provide foresight into potential environmental constraints. In addition to customer-facing responsibilities, this role also focuses on ECS internal strategic improvements that include (but are not limited to):

  • Strategy Development – Collaborate with senior leadership to draft, define, and revise overall business strategy with focus on key areas for growth and transformation.
  • Change Management – Design, lead, and manage change initiatives ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and minimize resistance to change.
  • Market Analysis - Conduct market research and competitive analysis identifying industry trends, opportunities and threats to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Operational improvement – Analyze current business processes and operations identifying inefficiencies; develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Engage with key stakeholders to gather insights, build consensus and ensure alignment to strategic initiatives.
  • Innovation Advocacy – Promote a culture of innovation within the organization, encouraging creative thinking and the exploration of new business models or technologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, communications, or related field
  • At least 7+ years of experience in service delivery, customer experience strategy, customer relationship management, or a similar consulting role, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior or leadership position.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing customer engagement and/or experience strategies that have led to measurable improvements in customer satisfaction, loyalty, and business outcomes.
  • Adaptable problem solving and ability to handle multi-dimensional challenges involving dependent, and sometimes conflicting, organizational structures, processes, cultures and technologies
  • Exceptional facilitation skills to lead brainstorming sessions, workshops, and discussions, with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans and clearly communicate strategies to customers and internal teams.
  • Previous experience leading consulting engagements or projects, managing customer relationships, and guiding teams to deliver high-impact results; experience leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and developing junior consultants or team members.
  • Ability to adapt to changing customer needs and market conditions, continuously seeking innovative solutions to enhance customer experience.
  • Ability to support teams and customers with a service-oriented approach, effective and empathetic communicator and relationship builder.
  • A strategic approach to delivery planning over medium- and long-term efforts
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Graduate level education degree preferred
  • 7+ years of proven business strategy experience supporting large scale organizational change
  • Strong innovative analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing roadmaps tied to KPIs
  • All candidates must successfully complete a stringent Background Investigation and obtain the required Government Security
