Being part of the Global Markets Sales organization puts you in the position of being part of the first line of defense protecting JPMorgan. The Portfolio Associate will be responsible to assist in the oversight, daily administration and strategic vision of the Global Markets Sales client population as it relates to counterparty client risk exposure.
The Sales Credit Risk team will provide the successful administration of our client portfolio in order to manage and monitor risk exposure while enabling Sales to continue to deliver a best in class client franchise. The overall team will interact regularly with Sales & Trading, Business Management, Business Controls, Credit Risk Management, Transition Management, Technology and other support functions to achieve these goals. The CIB Global Markets Sales Credit Risk Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the enhancement to the first line oversight of counterparty client risk exposure in order to monitor, identify and minimize risk to the business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage in supporting the global team which will include, but not limited to the administration of the daily business activities associated with markets counterparty exposure, managing assigned workload, assist in drafting team procedures and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Portfolio management - Responsible for adhering to the established framework including the controls and governance of exposure management, monitoring and escalation of material deviations from the framework which includes but not limited to:
- Assist in the design, implementation and on-going support of MI reporting and updates to Senior Business Heads, Business Control partners and Senior Control forums
- Support the framework related to the governance and escalation of client restriction control monitoring
- Limit breach monitoring to include mitigation of breaches, reporting to identify trends and themes for escalation
- Identification and monitoring of additional areas of risks (ie. concentrations, ultimate beneficial owners, etc)
- Support of a sustainable refresh model to keep client data up-to-date in order to maintain and monitor on-going risk
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- B.A. Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in financial services preferably focused on Credit/Market Risk Management or Sales & Trading
- Must have strong skills with Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Python, Alteryx and other similar applications to enable the creation and upkeep of MI, control reports and tactical problem solving solutions
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
- Must possess a strong control mindset while working in a dynamic environment
- Must be results driven, pay attention to detail and be willing to break down barriers and obstacles
- Ability to successfully influence many different groups and individuals to deliver high quality and timely results
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Understanding of Markets Trading and Sales and the end-to-end product life cycle
- Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills
- Knowledge or background in Operational, Market, Credit or in-business risk
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a demanding environment
