Welder/Fabricator

Jessup Systems, division of Koch Finishing Systems is a local custom engineering and fabrication company seeking an experienced welder to join our team. This position will weld and fabricate metal structures and various custom assemblies according to engineered fabrication drawings.
Schedule: Day shift 6:00am - 2:30pm
Pay: Up to $30/hour
Required Skills:
• Certified welders are preferred but not required
• 2+ years of welding/fabrication structural and stainless steel experience required
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols for fabrication
• Ability to lift 70 pounds
• Previous experience in manufacturing preferred
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
Responsibilities:
• Perform all job duties with safety as a primary focus
• Fabricates and welds a wide variety of metal and plastic structures
• Ability to read blue prints, work orders, and complete standard reports
• Ensures manager is aware of any issues which can impact customer schedule
• Maintains clean work area including property, tools, and equipment
• Ability to verify weldments are within specs, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes
• Move parts into position either manually or with a hoist or crane
• Position, align, fit, and weld parts, following blueprints and layout specifications
• Set up and operate fabricating machines to cut, form, punch, and drill components
• Lay out and examine weldments to ensure specifications are met
• Position or tighten braces, clamps, straps to position for welding
• De-burr, prep, and tag parts and weldments for next process
