ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment at the work area all the time.
• Work safe and maintain an organized, lean work environment.
• Strong commitment to good attendance and being on time as it is critical to meet production needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per the job-specific travelers.
• Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
• Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required.
• Ensure adherence to APP’s policies and procedures, including our code of conduct and ethics policy, product safety, employee safety and cultural beliefs.
• Ensure adherence to all process specifications.
• Support the Plant quality system goals / improvements & productivity goals / improvements within the scope of the job.
• Learn how to read blueprints.
• Learn to use tools, such as straight edges, protractors, dial indicators, micrometers, and height gauges, to check the dimensions, curves and angles of parts.
• Learn to straighten small forgings with hand tools such as mallets, hammers, and holding fixtures.
• Learn to set up and operate presses to straighten large forgings.
• Learn to maintain freezer logbook.
• On-the-job training will be provided for this position.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
• 1-2 years of High School or equivalent.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
• In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person.
• Basic Math (addition, subtraction, decimal points, tolerance).
• Basic English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehend).
• Must be able to work overtime when required to meet operational deadlines.
• Experience using measuring tools strongly desired.
• Basic blueprint reading skills strongly preferred.
• Ability to operate forklift a plus.
• Microsoft Office skills a plus.
• Aluminum heat treating experience and certification a plus.
• Aluminum hardness and conductivity testing and certification a plus.
Compensation: $20.00 - $23.97 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
