JOB SUMMARY: Shipping Clerk II is responsible for performing Rockwell and Conductivity testing on all parts required, and preparing orders for shipment as per job travelers and customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform Rockwell hardness testing and Conductivity current testing of all parts to be shipped.
• Accept or reject parts as required.
• Maintain files of all job-identification procedures.
• Receive parts/stock and maintain computerized inventory.
• Stamp parts as required by job travelers and customer requirements.
• Package materials and prepare jobs for shipment accordingly.
• Verify that quantity of parts is correct and satisfies job order.
• Assist in loading and unloading truck shipments.
• Assure all quality and production requirements are met as per job travelers, blueprints, customer requirements, etc.
• Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
• Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required.
• Ensure adherence to APP’s policies and procedures, including our code of conduct and ethics policy, product safety, employee safety and cultural beliefs.
• Ensure adherence to all process specifications.
• Support the Plant quality system goals / improvements & productivity goals / improvements within the scope of the job.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
• Must be certified on the Rockwell and Conductivity testing procedures.
• Minimum six months of directly-related shipping experience is required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English is preferred
• In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person (U.S. Person = a natural person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
• Communicate with co-workers and supervisor.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Maintain focus on assigned tasks throughout the scheduled shift.
• Read job travelers and accompanying documents.
• Demonstrate proficiency in basic mathematics.
• Demonstrate the reasoning ability required for accepting and rejecting products following Rockwell and Eddy testing procedures.
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
• Follow and respect supervisor’s direction.
• Ensure quality parts to meet customer’s and APP’s requirements.
• Work at an acceptable level of productivity.
• Maintain a non-combative, positive work attitude.
• Uphold safe and honest work habits and practices.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• In an effort to achieve continuous improvement, APP expects a willingness from employees to be cross-trained on multiple operations.
Compensation: $18.00 - $19.00 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
