JOB SUMMARY: Penetrant Inspector Level II processes and inspects parts for defects accordingly as documented in the penetrant procedure QT.P100 Penetrant Inspection, Aluminum Machines and Raw Forgings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform all penetrant system checks.
• Inspect parts following the penetrant application process as per QT.P100 Penetrant Inspection, Aluminum Machines and Raw Forgings.
• Evaluate all discontinuities and defects as specified by acceptance criteria.
• Mark all defects and discontinuities clearly with a red marker.
• Re-evaluate and/or reject defected parts as required.
• Maintain and document records of inspection.
• Work within all time-limits to avoid re-processing parts.
• Assure all quality and production requirements are met, as indicated by penetrant inspection process, job travelers, and any additional customer instructions.
• Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
• Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required.
• Ensure adherence to APP’s policies and procedures, including our code of conduct and ethics policy, product safety, employee safety and cultural beliefs.
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
• Follow and respect supervisor’s direction.
• Ensure quality parts to meet customers’ and APP’s requirements.
• Work at an acceptable level of productivity.
• Maintain a non-combative, positive work attitude.
• Uphold safe and honest work habits and practices.
• Follow company policies and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
• Must be trained and certified on the penetrant procedure as per QT.P 100 Penetrant Inspection, Aluminum Machines and Raw Forging. Training is provided for this position.
• Must have NAS 410 certification.
• In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person (U.S. Person = a natural person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the Penetrant procedure.
• Use and read measuring devices.
• Communicate with co-workers and supervisor.
• Follow all written and verbal instructions.
• Work with little or no supervision throughout shift.
• Remain alert and report any changes or inconsistencies apparent along Penetrant line.
Compensation: $23.25 - $26.96 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

This job may be a good fit if you have experience in NDT Inspector, PT Inspection, Dye Penetrant, Quality Inspector or similar inspection role.
