Coder Physician

These are physician orthopedic surgery coding roles but facility SDS coders with orthopedic surgery coding experience may be considered. Epic experience preferred but not required. Must have RHIA, RHIT, CPC or CCS-P. Monday through Friday required during training and onboarding. Additional schedules can be discussed once training is complete. 

Responsible for abstracting, coding, and appropriately sequencing ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and CPT codes and modifiers

Responsible for the assignment of correct initial diagnosis and procedure codes, secondary diagnosis and procedure codes, and modifiers

Maintain 95% quality score

Qualified candidates must have an active RHIA, RHIT, CPC, or CCS-P credential

Epic experience preferred but not required
