How will you make an impact in this role?
American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is dedicated to the success of businesses big and small with the vision to be essential to our customers’ businesses every day. Within GCS, the Corporate Card products team designs and operates the corporate-liability Card products that are offered to medium, large and global businesses.
The Corporate Account Setup and Spend Enablement team owns product management of account setup, working in partnership with teams in Risk, Digital Experience, Onboarding Capabilities, and beyond. Specifically, Spend Enablement-focused members of the team oversee the customer-facing experience through which clients are approved, assigned credit lines, and manage how and when they pay their bills.
The Senior Manager, Corporate Client Payment Enablement will:
- Product manage the customer journey for Extended Payment Terms (EPT) —a program through which Corporate clients can obtain extra time to pay, and re-age balances
- Work closely with partners in Pricing and Risk to determine the inputs for extended payment setup, and how these can be collected in the most seamless and customer-friendly way
- Envision and contribute to the strategy for additional or new extended payment or balance management features
- Write business requirements for new journeys and payment features, working in close partnership with colleagues in Corporate digital platforms, product development, and user interface design
- Serve as the PM counterpart to digital experience colleagues who manage the Corporate Online Payment experience, and determine the experience requirements for how customers set up and use this feature
- Define and track KPIs related to ease of payment, speed of setup, and issue resolution
- Use visual communications including user demos to contextualize and syndicate journey improvements, and present the strategic/business rationale for these investments; rank and submit for investment new technical features to be built
- Serve as a product point person for questions on EPT, the competitive landscape and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Customer-first mentality with previous experience in B2B Cards, or equivalent experience in Financial Services software product management; understanding and confidence with user interface design a plus
- Ability to think across platforms and channels to design the collection of client information
- Analytical curiosity and drive; resourcefulness in discovering new information to inform upkeep and improvements to the payment journey
- Fluency in the language of credit risk, pricing and underwriting; ability to collaborate with peers within these teams to understand and serve clients
- Flexible, creative problem-solver who puts structure around complex issues
- Communication excellence, both visual/written and verbal; comfort in front of audiences of various levels of seniority
- Facility for stakeholder management; ability to communicate vision to build collaboration and partnership
- Proactive and positive attitude, dedication to building team culture of learning, growth, and development
Minimum Qualifications
Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
