Description

The Department of Psychology at Ashoka University invites applications for a full-time faculty position (open rank*). Ashoka University is a leading liberal arts and sciences university in India. The lush green sprawling campus of Ashoka University is situated at Sonipat (Haryana), near Delhi. At Ashoka University, the emphasis on Psychology as an empirical science is reflected in teaching and research. Department members collaborate with faculty from Biosciences, Computer Science, Philosophy, the Center for Social and Behavioral Change, as well as with other prominent research institutes, hospitals and NGOs.

Qualifications

We especially welcome applicants with proven research experience in empirical study of human behaviors, and teaching experience in all disciplines of Psychology**. The successful candidate is expected to excel in both teaching and independent research. Faculty members are also expected to supervise students’ project and scholarly contribute to the institution.

For Assistant Professor rank, the applicant must have a Ph.D. in a related discipline by the time of appointment. An ideal candidate should have minimum 3 years of research and / or teaching experience after obtaining Ph.D. degree. Ashoka offers attractive pay packages as well as support to set-up a lab, provides annual research and travel grants, and allows research sabbaticals.
