Ensure cleanliness and condition of guestrooms and all hotel public areas are maintained to meet expected standards, guest satisfaction while instilling a sense of pride for our Team Members.
Essential Job Functions:
- Adhere to all regulatory, company and department policies/procedures in an ethical manner
- Ensure all risk, safety and security standards are in place and followed by our Team Members
- Ability to accurately perform the duties of our Team Members (Room Attendant, Houseperson, Cleaning Specialist, Laundry, Trainer, and Desk Coordinator) as needed according to standards
- Act appropriately to obtain and maintain high quality standards set forth by the department
- Conduct and follow-up on special projects, daily inspections and walk throughs in a timely manner, ensuring guestrooms, public, common front and back house areas are presentable, in good condition and cleaned to standard
- Provide fun, inspirational leadership and support in creating extraordinary experiences while achieving
- Take initiative in continuously making suggestions to improve processes which would positively impact the Team Members, Guests, Department, Property and or Company
- Provide positive and corrective feedback in coaching and development of Team Members using a consistent, approachable demeanor while clearly articulating expectations
- Create and maintain essential logs in a timely manner
- Coordinate and assist with the monthly inventory of linen and supplies
- Collaborate with Department Leadership and Department Trainers on a regular basis to discuss and share feedback, recommendations
- Proactively take the initiative for the greater good of guests and team members

Essential Qualifications, Knowledge And Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year hospitality industry, housekeeping experience
- Strong customer, employee, and interpersonal service skills
- Effective organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Positive Team-building and interactive skills
- Innovative and effective critical thinking skills
- Initiative-taking working without close supervision
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mentally, and physically stressful environment
- Present a well-groomed, hygienic, and professional appearance
- Must be able to operate a handheld device
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Forms
- Knowledge of LMS preferred
- Complete required Risk and Safety Management training
Physical, Mental, And Environmental Demands:
- Must be able to work in small, shared office space
- Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items
- Must be able to respond to visual and auditory cues
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry 5 pounds
- Must be able to work around dogs/pets
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work with various chemicals
- Must be able to tolerate area containing varying noise and temperature levels, limited storage space, illumination, vibration, crowds and air quality including secondhand smoke
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays

Licensing And Certification Required:
Employees may be required to obtain a Missouri Gaming Commission license. The initial license is paid for by the employee through payroll deduction. All subsequent renewals for the license are paid by Harrah’s North Kansas City.
