What You'Ll Do...
The Technical Hotline Trainer will report to the Learning & Development Manager. The Hotline Trainer coaches and councils’ quality improvement and process adherence of the technical support case managers to help meet target objectives. They will provide on-the-spot guidance, audit calls and provide calibration across their team to achieve consistent performance.
One should enjoy making connections and building rapport with others in a fast-paced, collaborative, hands-on environment. Lab and classroom instruction will be delivered on-site. Effective presentation skills are vital in this role, as well as the ability to ensure standards and goals are met in a given timeframe, this may include independent decision-making. Therefore, planning and problem-solving skills are both essential for success in this position.

- Curriculum Development: develop classroom ready curriculum from original equipment manufacturer products and service manuals.
- Mentorship:
- Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students can flourish, while imparting your expert knowledge.
- Identify training opportunities, develop individual training plans, and ensure that their teams overall training is on track to meet objectives.
- Follows the instructor’s guide’s learning objectives and outline for every course
- Utilize strong OEM technical knowledge to teach analysts and enhance their automotive skills.
- Use classroom instruction along with a workshop environment to meet curriculum requirements.
- Delivery must be interactive while observing the course delivery requirements
- Develop and create lesson plans, visual materials, evaluations, practical applications, and demonstrations.
- Facilitate and instruct Master Technician Training for case analysts to receive certification.
- Train new instructors to perform their job roles during “Train the Trainer” classes.
- Observe and coach case analysts by reviewing dealer contacts and documentation. Share feedback to ensure best practices and quality responses support Fix it Right the First-Time objective.
- Post-training ensure team members follow the technical process and provide accurate and timely responses to technicians. Conduct follow-up training as needed.
You'Ll Have...
- High School Diploma
- 2+ years of technical automotive diagnostic experience with OEM Vehicles
- 2+ years of experience using MS Office, i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Even better, you may have...
- Associate degree or a bachelor’s degree.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively connect with case analysts.
- Organizational Skills: Planning, prioritization skills, time management skills and deadline oriented, can adapt to face changing environment.
- Technical Skills: Must be able to set up, deliver and remove invasive and non-invasive vehicle faults.
- Professionalism: Problem solving and decision-making skills, using good judgment.
- Prior OEM instructional experience.
- Five years’ experience as a technical instructor.
- ASE Master Certified
- Ford Senior Master Tech Certified
