The Executive Director-Revenue Cycle Services is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the system financial team with a focus on Business Integrations, Acquisitions & Divestitures into the operations, the Project Management Office, and Vendor Management. This leader is responsible for the administration and management of various assigned areas and reports to the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Services. This Executive Director interfaces with senior leadership and front-line team members, executing organizational development strategy, and driving change initiatives across the system in order to optimize organizational potential and achieve strategic and operational objectives. The incumbent must embody IU Health's mission, embrace its vision, and lead through respect, humility and intellectual curiosity. The leader must promote "systemness" and standardization of processes to ensure preeminent outcomes throughout the system and within Revenue Cycle Services.

Reports to: Vice President-System Finance Team, Operational Support

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related area is required, together with a minimum of 5 years of financial and management experience.
  • Requires demonstrated leadership skills (inspiring, problem solving, communicating across multiple organizations, executing) to champion Leading to Preeminence.
  • Requires experience managing multiple complex projects involving multiple customers, interests and goals.
  • Requires a strong blend of management skills and technical expertise, demonstrated by superior planning, decision-making, negotiation, leadership and financial management skills/knowledge, with a focus to adding value to the bottom line of the business to foster a preeminent healthcare environment.
  • Requires strong communication and relationship-building skills with all levels of employees and management.
  • Requires the ability to recruit, develop and mentor a top-notch team capable of supporting future growth.
  • Requires the ability to lead quality improvement initiatives.
  • Requires the ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources.
  • Requires ability to apply the organization personnel policies and procedures.
  • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
