The Manager – Islamic Studies & UAE Social Studies will play a pivotal role in leading curriculum, assessment, and pedagogical excellence across Aldar schools. Reporting directly to the School Improvement Partner (SIP) for MOE subjects, the postholder will ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, and compliance, fully aligned with Aldar’s strategic priorities and national expectations.

This role requires an experienced education leader with a proven track record of effective school and curriculum management in the UAE, UK, USA, or other international contexts. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong cultural intelligence, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate productively with directors, principals, teachers, and parents. Visible leadership, credibility, and the capacity to act as an ambassador for Aldar are essential, alongside sound commercial awareness of the private school sector.

The Manager will lead curriculum design, implementation, and cyclical review for Islamic Studies and UAE Social Studies, ensuring vertical progression and meaningful cross-curricular connections to National Identity, heritage, and UAE history. They will design robust assessment systems, drive moderation and quality assurance, and ensure the effective use of data to improve attainment and progress across schools.

Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for building teacher capacity through professional learning, developing subject networks, and fostering innovation in pedagogy. The role also involves working closely with cultural partners (such as the National Archives and the Department of Culture and Tourism) to enrich curriculum experiences, while ensuring full compliance with MOE and ADEK frameworks and safeguarding requirements.
