We are seeking a dynamic and creative Community Manager to spearhead the community strategy for our upcoming interactive story game, based on the WEBTOON IP. As the vital link between players, creators, and the development team, you will cultivate a vibrant, engaged, and supportive community that elevates the WEBTOON brand while driving long-term player retention and enthusiasm for the game.

This role combines storytelling, fandom culture, and games community management—ideal for someone with a deep understanding of both gaming and WEBTOON audiences and a talent for uniting them in meaningful, authentic ways.

Key Responsibilities

Community Strategy & Engagement

  • Define and execute community engagement plans aligned with game milestones, updates, and content drops.
  • Moderate and grow official community channels (Discord, Reddit, social media, in-game forums).
  • Build and maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for players to share stories, art, and experiences.

Content & Communication

  • Create engaging community-facing content: announcements, newsletters, patch note summaries, polls, and event recaps.
  • Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to design community campaigns tied to WEBTOON stories, characters, and fandom trends.
  • Source and spotlight user-generated content (fan art, fan fiction, cosplays).

Events & Campaigns

  • Organize digital community events (Q&As, AMAs, competitions, watch parties, fan showcases).
  • Support influencer and creator programs to expand reach in WEBTOON and gaming audiences.
  • Partner with LiveOps to deliver in-game events with strong community hooks.

Insights & Advocacy

  • Monitor community sentiment and provide structured feedback to the game team.
  • Track key KPIs (engagement, retention, sentiment, NPS) to measure community health.
  • Act as the voice of the player, ensuring community perspectives influence product development.

What We’Re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in community management for games, entertainment, or related digital platforms.
  • Preferred: Strong knowledge offandom culture, WEBTOON IP, and interactive story or narrative-driven games.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Hands-on experience with community platforms (Discord, Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, etc.).
  • Creative mindset with the ability to craft engaging campaigns and adapt to fast-moving fandom trends.
  • Comfortable analyzing community data to guide strategy.

Bonus Points

  • Previous work with licensed IPs or cross-media fan communities (anime, comics, K-pop, etc.).
  • Skills in content creation (basic graphic design, short-form video, memes).
  • Experience working with the Korean market.
  • Experience working with video on-demand over-the-top streaming services.
