The Impact you will have in this role:

The DTCC Application Architecture team plays a pivotal role in shaping the technological foundation of the organization’s financial infrastructure. This team is responsible for designing resilient, scalable, and secure application frameworks that support DTCC’s mission-critical systems. Their work spans across cloud-native deployments, containerized environments, and high-availability architectures, often leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. The team collaborates closely with product managers, infrastructure engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure that application designs align with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and evolving business needs. They also engage in continuous improvement through architectural reviews, proof-of-concept validations, and governance board oversight, ensuring that DTCC’s systems remain robust, compliant, and future-ready.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide architectural leadership in designing and developing blockchain-based solutions with off-chain integrations.
  • Ensure the security and scalability of blockchain applications.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate blockchain technology with existing systems and platforms.
  • Help build a bridge between on-chain technologies and off-chain technologies.
  • Help guide private cloud integration to operationalize integrated solutions. 
  • Stay updated with advancements in blockchain protocols, cryptographic techniques, and digital asset regulations.
  • Implement tokenization processes and develop smart contracts.
  • Use zero-knowledge proofs and multi-signature wallets for enhanced security.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with financial regulations related to digital assets.
  • Manage off-chain technologies including public cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), relational databases, and modern programming languages.
  • Facilitate seamless integration of on-chain and off-chain components using streaming and integration technologies (RPC/gRPC, KAFKA, MQ, REST APIs).

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or experience.
  • Certification in blockchain technology or related areas.
  • Proven track record of blockchain projects.
  • Certification on Cloud Architecture preferred (AWS, Azure and/or GCP).
Talents Needed for Success
  • Strong understanding of blockchain protocols and cryptographic principles.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital currencies, crypto ETFs, fungible and non-fungible tokens, stable coins, DeFi assets.
  • Experience with tokenization, smart contracts, zero-knowledge proofs, and multi-signature wallets.
  • Awareness of financial regulations related to cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
  • Proficiency in blockchain security protocols and token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1400).
  • Knowledge of DeFi, DAO, and Automated Market Makers (AMM).
  • Experience in the banking or financial sector.
  • Understanding of digital asset custodianship.
  • Experience with off-chain technologies and platforms including public cloud services- AWS, Azure, GCP. 
  • Experience with relational databases, modern programming languages, and streaming/integration technologies (RPC/gRPC, KAFKA, MQ, REST APIs).
  • Working experience with on-chain and off-chain integrations.
  • Experience with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF is highly recommended, demonstrating a structured approach to enterprise architecture and strategic technology planning.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
