About The Role

This is a key role within our development team for a fixed-term period of 12 months, and a fantastic opportunity to gain significant experience working on a market-leading app with a modern tech stack. This is a remote-friendly position; however, we have our beautiful office in Stockholm, which you're very encouraged to go to and work from and meet your colleagues. 

You'll shape the experience for millions of listeners and readers and be instrumental in developing new, exciting features and enhancing the existing functionality of our core iOS application, ensuring our users have the best possible journey into the world of stories.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Developing new features and improving existing ones within our iPhone and iPad applications.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to bring ideas to life.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes and codebase.

About The Team

You'll be joining our dedicated iOS team, a collaborative group of 5 individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences. As a remote-friendly team, we're spread out across various locations in Sweden and Denmark, and we have good virtual collaboration.

Our team's core purpose is to build a world-class iOS application defined by high stability, strong performance, and delightful features. While you'll work in close partnership with Product Managers and Designers, we always keep our ultimate stakeholder in mind: our customers.

About You

To be successful in this role, we believe that you have:

• Solid professional experience developing iOS applications.
• Strong proficiency in Swift, as our codebase is built entirely on it.
• Solid experience working with SwiftUI, which we use for most of our user interfaces.
• A good understanding of the iOS SDK and common mobile design patterns.
• Solid experience writing automated tests.
• A proactive and self-starter mindset, with the ability to contribute effectively from an early stage.
• A team-oriented approach and thrive in a collaborative environment where you build great things together with others.
• Knowledge of AI tools like Claude Code and Apple Intelligence is a plus.
