Endoscopic Tech - Per Diem

Endoscopic Technician at Providence Little Company Of Mary San Pedro Hospital in San Pedro, CA.  This is a Per-Diem position that will work 8-hour Variable shifts.

Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse the GI Technician provides care to all patients, including pediatrics, adults and geriatrics by assisting the team during GI procedures. Must demonstrate independence and competence in the duties on a variety of procedures. The GI Technician assists the team in preparing case set-up and equipment during the case assists the physician and clean up thereafter. May take call at night and weekends on a rotational basis to cover any emergencies.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of Accredited Surgical Technologist School or 3 years of experience in the GI Lab
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 
• 2 years experience in GI Lab

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: CST Certification (Certified Surgical Technologist)
• Upon hire: Instrument Technologist Certification

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
