As an Azure Solution Area Specialist in our Early in Career Program (EIP), you will discover and qualify new leads. You will drive the day-to-day execution of Microsoft's strategic business priorities – selling best-in-class Secure Migrations for our customers to be AI-Ready by leading with Migration opportunities with Windows Server, SQL Server and Linux Estate. You will help enable customers’ cloud modernization at scale driving innovation with Azure AI Platform, to our managed customers and building digital transformation momentum for our customers, partners, and Microsoft.

Responsibilities

  • Customer First Mindset - Engage with and enable our customers and key decision-makers, delivering a connected customer engagement experience and driving customer satisfaction, through digital sales excellence, empowered by world-class data, marketing systems and platforms. 
  • Work with customers and become an influencer in shaping their decisions to buy and adopt Microsoft Azure and AI solutions by winning business and technical decisions for consumption projects and usage scenarios through tailored messaging, technical discussions, and aligning the appropriate solutions partners, programs and resources to guide them in decision making and consumption plans. 
  • Collaborates with Digital Specialists, extended sales team, partners to conduct business analysis (e.g., whitespace analysis, identify industry trends) to pursue potential customers and develop a target list of potential business. Prioritizing time with customers and partners, leveraging tools and processes to run and grow the business and build a stronger team. 
  • Collaborate with Technical Sales roles, for technical demonstrations, to showcase how the proven capabilities of Microsoft Azure, to meet customer’s business and technical objectives related migrations to the Microsoft cloud. Collaborate with account teams and partners to track, qualify, and expand new opportunities, building continuous pipeline. Interfaces with customers and builds relationships via social selling.  
  • Engages in conversations with customers to introduce how other Microsoft Azure workloads could enable digital transformation areas that are aligned with the customer's industry and turns opportunities into deals. Utilizes understanding of customers' business and its priorities to drive conversations with customers on digital transformation across multiple solution areas, in collaboration with partners and services.  
  • Build relationships with leadership and field stakeholders to enable team success across internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with account teams to identify and engage senior business subject matter decision makers at the customer's/partner's business and maximize scale through partners.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications (Rqs)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience  
  • OR 3+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience. 
  • OR equivalent experience 

Preferred Qualifications (Pqs)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years of technology-related sales or account management work experience  
  • OR 4+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.  

Digital Solution Area Specialists IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $25.91 - $51.20 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $37.26 - $54.76 per hour.
