Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects.
- 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Experience in machine learning, building/training AI models and feature development.
- Experience running effective software engineering teams and driving delivery of complex, multi-quarter projects.
- Ability to collaborate with people, teams and functions, and communicate cross-functionally.
- Passion for coaching and supporting engineers.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.
As a Software Engineering Manager at LearnX Zagreb, you will lead engineering teams building AI driven capabilities and features for learning products across Google Search and Lens. You'll advocate for the development of AI capabilities and features, manage data for training and evaluations and identify ways to improve products for learning with AI solutions. You will be involved and expected to contribute to the product experience, from awareness to quality, usability, performance and robustness.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive building AI driven capabilities and features for Search Web and Lens.
- Define and implement technical goal, strategy, and roadmap.
- Coordinate, navigate and drive multiple projects and initiatives within your area of responsibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across the world and different parts of the organization to drive project delivery.
- Build and manage a high-performing engineering team, grow individuals and help them achieve outcomes across different projects and areas.
