Wood is recruiting for a Contracts Specialist to join its Power Solutions business focusing on power generation and distribution projects across North America. This opportunity is Hybrid, based in our Vancouver, BC office.

The Role
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for the well-timed and accurate execution of project procurement and sub-contracting activities. You will help ensure key milestones are achieved, commercial risks are minimized, and customer expectations are met—always in strict accordance with Wood’s Supply Chain Code of Business Conduct.

Wood performs consulting and EPCM services for many of North America’s power generation and power distribution companies. Our Power Solutions group delivers innovative projects across Canada and the U.S., including transmission and distribution infrastructure and renewable energy initiatives.

* Lead medium- to high-complexity procurement and contracting processes
* Develop and implement supply chain strategies and contracting plans aligned with project goals
* Prepare and manage tender documents, clarifications, evaluations, and awards
* Administer contracts to ensure cost, schedule, and quality compliance
* Manage post-award activities including payments, modifications, claims, and closeout
* Collaborate with project teams and clients to ensure smooth execution and delivery

Expected:
* Degree or diploma in a relevant field
* 10–15 years of experience in contract administration, preferably in civil, utilities, or industrial projects
* Knowledge of contract types such as lump sum, unit rate, and cost-plus
* Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Desirable:
* Experience with Power Transmission & Distribution projects (e.g., BC Hydro)
* Supply Chain certification (SCMP, CPSM or equivalent)
