Investment Reporting Analyst#

As an investment reporting analyst, you will work with our Canadian Investment practice to provide support on a range of investment services to Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution plans and other institutional entities. Support will be required on a range of investment-related matters, including: performance measurement and evaluation, investment manager monitoring, investment management structures, manager selection and other projects. Our Canadian client teams and clients use these reports to make key decisions and recommendations about the investment of client assets.

Relocation is not offered for this position.

The Role

• Produce quarterly investment performance reports by reviewing and analyzing data, preparing written commentary for delivery to clients by required deadlines
• Liaise with investment managers, custodians, recordkeepers and other providers to collect information and conduct analysis and research as necessary to produce reports 
• Prepare written and analytic material that provide recommendations and actions for a variety of services and deliverables
• Support client team members to effectively deliver reporting to clients
• Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional and cross-regional teams
• Hybrid work schedule. In-person and in-office interactions depend on the needs of the team, role and clients. Our flexibility is rooted in trust and “hybrid” is not a one-size-fits-all solution.

The Requirements

• Proficient in oral and written English
• Undergraduate degree with 1 to 3 years of experience
• Interest in and knowledge of financial markets and defined benefit and defined contribution plans
• Effective oral and written communication skills 
• Comfortable in a team environment and working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with strong analytical skills
• Effective organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and projects
• Attention to detail and able to deliver accurate and high-quality work
• Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Experience in a reporting role in a back-office environment or the investment industry would be an asset.
