Role Overview

We are seeking an SMM & Community Manager for Chinese-speaking audiences to establish and manage EMCDs presence across Chinese-speaking digital ecosystems. This role will focus on building informal communities, supporting organic growth, and adapting global content to local platforms.

The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Chinese (simplified), has strong knowledge of Chinese social platforms, and understands how to cultivate web3 communities in both formal and informal way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain community groups on relevant platforms (WeChat groups, X, Telegram, Discord, or others).
  • Localize and adapt global content into Chinese for culturally relevant communication.
  • Manage Chinese-speaking EMCD community, share updates, answer questions, and collect feedback.
  • Collaborate with Chinese-speaking KOLs to increase brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with the global SMM and community teams to align on campaigns and messaging.
  • Support organization of AMA sessions, discussions, and informal events for the Chinese-speaking community.
  • Handle incoming requests from cross-teams (Product, BD, Events, PR, Influencers) relevant to Chinese-speaking audience.
  • Track and report on audience growth and engagement metrics across Chinese platforms.
  • Stay informed on Chinese social media trends, regulations, and crypto community behavior.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Chinese (simplified) and English (written & spoken).
  • Proven experience in building and moderating web3 communities for Chinese audiences (WeChat, Weibo, Bilibili, Zhihu, Douyin, etc.).
  • Ability to localize and adapt content from English into Chinese for multiple platforms.
  • Knowledge of community engagement formats (AMAs, discussions, contests) adapted for Chinese-speaking audience.
  • Familiarity with analytics and monitoring tools for Chinese platforms.
  • Understanding of crypto/blockchain community culture within a Chinese-speaking audience (required).
  • Proficiency with task management tools (e.g. Asana, Jira, Trello, etc.)
