Description

Essential Functions

Essential functions are those tasks, duties, and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job’s purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person is held accountable. Following are the essential functions of the job, along with the corresponding performance standards. 

Supports daily deposit through ensuring that each deposit is balanced and issues are resolved immediately. Prepares and maintains bank schedules ensuring that they tie out each day.

Payroll And Expense Reimbursement:

  1. May process bi-weekly Payroll, in accordance with company policy, through enterprise payroll system, or assist with payroll process as needed. 
  2. May process Travel and Expense reimbursement, in accordance with company policy, through enterprise finance system.
  3. Data entry of AP invoices 
  4. Assist and participate in the AP payment cycle by matching purchase orders to   invoices, researching differences, preparing checks for signature, mail checks when ready.
  5. May review, organize, and prepare patient refund checks for printing and signatures.
  6. Assist with the preparation of any AP related journal entries
  7. Prepare any requested reporting of AP transactions 
  8. Assist with daily cash deposit recording and related processes
  9. Assist with processing travel and expense reimbursements
  10. Assist with payroll processing tasks

Accounts Payable:

  4. Maintains open communication using appropriate chain of command regarding issues.
  5. Conducts all work activities with respect for rights and wishes of patients, visitors, families and fellow employees.
  6. Maintains confidentiality of all clinic and patient information at all times as observed by peers and management.
  7. Presents neat appearance in proper attire and identification as required by the position, department, and Clinic.
  8. Continuously displays a "can do" attitude within the department and across departmental lines to contribute to the overall customer service program in place at the Organization.

Promotes  effective working relations and works effectively as part of the Finance team inter and intra departmentally to facilitate the department's ability to meet its goals and objectives.

  1. Participates in staff meetings as determined by Manager.
  2. Supports the Organization’s mission, policies and procedures.
  3. Reports to work on time and is at work as scheduled.

Schedule / Location

  • Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Pasco Administrative Building – 800 W Court St, Pasco, WA 99301

Wage / Status

  • $20.55-$27.75/hr. (DOE)
  • This is a non-exempt position

Requirements

Minimum Education and Work Experience

Associate’s degree and two years of experience with knowledge in business and fundamentals of accounting concepts   OR any combination of education and experience which would provide the candidate with the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the   job.

Preferred Education and Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree and prior health care setting experience preferred.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and   Excel.

Ability to work independently. 

Proficient Organizational Skills.

Ability to pay attention to detail.

Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
