Senior Scientist Process Chemistry (all genders) 

As a Senior Scientist (all genders), you will be responsible for developing and optimizing chemical processes in the field of Process Chemistry, supporting scale-up from lab to production, and implementing new technologies. You’ll work across diverse molecule types, contribute to interdisciplinary projects, and help drive innovation within a collaborative team environment. 

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the development and optimization of assigned chemical processes generating benefits in yield, quality and cost
• You ensure competitiveness of production processes by evaluating and applying new and state-of-the-art chemical technologies and methods
• You contribute as part of project teams to process transfers from laboratories to the relevant production plant or site (scale up) internally and/or externally
• You provide scientific input and guidance to laboratory teams always ensuring compliance with safety regulations
• You co-shape way of working within Process Chemistry cluster
• You develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of experimental procedures, results, and protocols
• You present findings and progress updates to internal stakeholders and at external conferences and workshops
• You stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in process chemistry and technologies and take ownership for implementing new technologies and methods
• The scope includes small molecules as well as synthetic modalities such as proteinconjugates or peptides

Who You Are

• You hold a PhD in organic or metal-organic chemistry, additional postdoctoral work and/or industry experience is a plus
• You bring excellent knowledge of classical and modern synthetic methods, knowledge of modern tools in digital chemistry and automation is a plus
• You demonstrate a high level of creativity and independence by designing, executing, and evaluating solution-oriented chemical experiments to solve complex scientific problems
• Effective and adaptable communication skills describe you well, as you are strongly committed to building relationships across functions
• Strong commitment to preparative laboratory work including a reflective and forward-looking way of working in a team combined with the ability to take actions for continuous improvements, counts among your key strengths 
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken, complements your professional profile
