We’re seeking a dynamic and proactive HR Business Partner who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment to support our Service Center Network – Maintenance, Repair, Operations (MRO) workforce in Little Rock, Reno and St. Louis.  This role fosters engagement helps triage questions to the appropriate support resources, employee relations, and recruitment and staffing.  Responsibilities also include deploying HR programs and policies (e.g., pay, performance management, leaves, etc.) and addressing employee relations issues. 

Essential Functions:

  • Act as first point of contact for all employee related issues.
  • Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers employee relations, retention, compensation, leave of absence, workers compensation, well-being initiatives, records management, compliance, performance and talent management, recognition and culture.
  • Support deployment of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Handle administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire-orientations, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS).
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Coordinates logistics with HR team members as needed.
  • Participate in recruiting efforts and attend local, out of state career fairs, college visits and military base.
  • Manage employee advocacy and conflict resolution.
  • Investigate complaints and any other suspected policy violations.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Participates in employee corrective action meetings, termination out processing, and conducts exit interviews.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Work to ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations; work with other management members to help ensure equitable compensation for all employees; review job descriptions and recommend wage-grade placements.
  • Support the Drug Employment Representative (DER) for FAA Drug & Alcohol Program for the Service Center as well as coordinating the preemployment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion drug testing.
  • Maintain employee files and process HR transactions in UKG.
  • Support facility employee engagement initiatives and MRO training development initiatives.
  • 1st shift position, flexibility to support 2nd and weekend shift team as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 + years’ experience in HR Business Partner or Generalist role.• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent experience.• Two (2) years of private sector experience supporting employee relations, performance management, employee surveys, and hiring and/or career development initiatives.• One (2) year HRIS Software utilization, administration and report creation experience. (e.g., UKG)• Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies• Experience with a variety of different HR disciplines such as compensation, HR data analytics, leave of absence, workers compensation, drug and alcohol program, and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.• Demonstrated project management, organizational and planning skills.• Full Lifecycle recruiting experience from sourcing to on-boarding.• Proven experience in designing and implementing effective employee engagement initiatives, with a track record of improving workforce satisfaction and retention.• Proficient MS Office skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook• Ability to work independently.• Demonstrated flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities• Ability to exercise sound judgment in the handling of confidential material and information.• Excellent oral and written communication skills.• Ability to work in a high dynamic and fast paced work environment• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees within the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PHR Certification
  • Experience in aerospace/aviation or manufacturing industry
  • Experience with FAA DOT Drug Program

Additional Information:

  • Onsite, Office environment and factory hangar area 
  • Occasional travel (25%) – local/with some out of state travel
