Duties And Responsibilities:

- Learn how to perform engineering design, planning, and computations in accordance with GDOT and AASHTO publications
- Develop detailed roadway 3D models to be used for design and construction using Bentley InRoads or OpenRoads
- Prepare accurate construction drawings and exhibits, using Microstation, meeting GDOT, client, or corporate CADD standards
- Perform, review, evaluate engineer’s estimate calculations and specifications
- Write clear, concise, accurate and professional technical reports, correspondence (including emails), memorandums, and specifications
- Communicate effectively and professionally with a multi-disciplinary team and clients. Ask questions and be willing to learn
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties and to work as a team
- Work under deadlines and self-manage several concurrent assignments.
- Design and preparation of documents for:
- Assist project manager with tasks associated with:
- Freeway Improvement, Widening, and interchange Projects
- Minor and major roadway improvements and grade separations
- Pedestrian and bike facilities meeting ADA requirements
- Stage Construction and Traffic Handling
- Plan preparation
- Cost estimates
- Report writing
- Proposal Development
- Client coordination

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Specialty preferred
- EIT required
- Coursework in Transportation Engineering experience including roadway design, traffic analysis, highway design
- Internship experience preferred
- GDOT experience and familiarity is a strong plus
- CAD and MicroStation experience is a strong plus
- Inroad and Openroads is a strong plus
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Availability and willingness to travel and work overtime as needed to meet deadlines

Physical Requirements:
