Position Summary
The Senior Field Service Representative (FSR) will represent Trident directly at customer sites to provide installation, maintenance, training, advocacy, and other activities as covered under the customer support contract(s). May lead installation or support teams and serve as Technical Lead on various projects. Responsible for successful project completion, repairs, test, training, demonstration, and other field representative activities. The role will include supporting onsite installation and integration efforts of C4I components at customer sites, primarily directly on military installations. While not onsite, the Senior FSR will support related C4I products and support systems to include planning, configuration, system administration, and documentation.
This role will interact directly with the end users of Trident commercial products to provide installation, support, training, and other services as required, primarily onsite. The role may lead installation efforts and have influence over the development and maintenance of fielded systems.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead On-Site Technical Operations – Act as the senior troubleshooter and primary point of contact during system installs, upgrades, and issue resolution for C4I products.
- Own Product Health – Diagnose hardware/software faults, execute repairs or mitigating solutions, and perform preventative maintenance to keep mission-critical equipment fully operational.
- Install and Integrate Solutions – Configure products and supporting infrastructure, verify end-to-end connectivity and security compliance before hand-off to the customer.
- Document Support Activities – Capture onsite actions, troubleshooting steps, lessons learned, and new training requirements in Trident standard formats; maintain site support logs and asset records as required per the support contract.
- Provide Training – Train the end users and other relevant personnel on Trident’s products delivering hands-on instruction both in the classroom and in the operational environment to ensure consistent and effective use of Trident’s products.
- Coordinate with Stakeholders – Interface daily with Trident and/or customer program managers, engineers, end-users, and logistics teams to solicit support requirements, provide feedback, respond to support requests, and schedule work.
- Champion Product Feedback – Identify new use cases, relay user insights and requests, and collect field data to drive product improvement, feature roadmaps, and required software upgrades.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of related experience (or 10 total years in lieu of a degree).
- Experience in field installation and support with C4I technologies or experience in the maintenance and employment of the customer systems.
- Experience leading small service, maintenance, and/or integration projects, providing technical direction, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
- Ability to read, execute, and edit technical installation documents and maintenance bulletins.
- Experience using electronic test equipment to identify and resolve system problems.
- Experience using integration, test, and verification methods.
- Experience working on Windows and Linux based systems.
- Ability to obtain government security clearance.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or other certification to meet DoD 8570 IAT II baseline requirements (or ability to obtain within 2 months).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel/TDY CONUS and OCONUS military installations (up to 25%) (higher travel may be required depending upon applicant’s location relative to Trident’s user base).
