The Team:
The Global Brand Team (GBT) Finance Department is seeking a collaborative and self-motivated Associate Financial Analyst to join the team in its Fisher-Price office in East Aurora, NY. This position reports directly into the Director of Finance and provides an opportunity to work cross-functionally within GBT and across the Mattel organization.
Job Description
The Opportunity:
As Associate Financial Analyst, support cross-functional team on FP&A and Reporting processes and projects. Candidate must be able to represent fact-based positions, run analyses, and partner with a wide variety of constituencies to accomplish objectives.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Provide financial direction to cross functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Brand, Finance, Design & Development, Supply Chain) to help achieve brand profitability objectives
- Partner with Corporate FP&A & Reporting teams to review forecasts / results to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and planning
- Effectively communicate financial results, concepts and issues with Senior Management
- Coordinate communications regarding key financial deliverables
- Support in-depth financial analysis related to key category/brand initiatives and strategic projects, including formulating steps and executing to successful conclusion
- Perform significant ad-hoc analyses by request
Qualifications
What We’Re Looking For:
- Highly motivated and inquisitive, with a desire to learn and grow within the organization
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize workloads to accurately meet business requirements
- Ability to step out of comfort zones by taking assignments of increasing complexity and ambiguity
- Strong analytical abilities and demonstrated confidence in conclusions from analysis; ability to clearly communicate recommendations to cross functional teams at all levels
- Responsible, resourceful, and goal-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work within a cross-campus finance organization preferred
- Understanding of P&L desired
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 1-3 years experience in a related role; CPA preferred
- Strong proficiency with MS Office tools; Advanced Excel modeling required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proactive, results oriented, and possess high ethical standards
- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for the toy, entertainment, consumer products industries a plus

*The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
