Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Business Analyst to join our Billing Strategy team. This role blends project management, analytics, and subject matter expertise in revenue cycle processes, specific to billing follow-up, denials, and appeals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong in SQL and data manipulation, and comfortable translating complex information into actionable insights for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and meetings related to revenue cycle analytics and system enhancements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle processes, supporting business stakeholders and vendor partners.
  • Assist with the build-out of billing follow-up and account queuing software by:
    • Testing functionality and validating backend processes.
    • Creating stored procedures and SQL scripts to support workflows.
    • Troubleshooting and validating system performance.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to support operational and executive decision-making.
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests and provide analytical support to cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in software testing and quality assurance activities, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with vendors, IT, and internal stakeholders to optimize billing processes and revenue cycle operations.
  • Over time, contribute to executive-level presentations and deliver insights in cross-functional forums.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in SQL, with demonstrated ability to write and optimize complex queries.
  • Experience with relational databases and backend testing.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for building dashboards and reports (SQL and database skills are prioritized over BI tools).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing projects and coordinating meetings across stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior exposure to revenue cycle management processes in healthcare.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors on software builds, testing, or implementations.
  • Knowledge of billing follow-up workflows and healthcare data systems.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
