Your Mission

We’re looking for a Health & Safety Lead to join our People team in Italy. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, are passionate about safety culture, regulatory excellence, and have the ability to lead both processes and people, this is your place!

You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Italian health & safety legislation, developing and implementing local processes, and managing internal and external stakeholders, all while fostering a safe and productive work environment.

The Journey

  • Manage and control all Health and Safety matters according to Italian law, ensuring full regulatory compliance
  • Serve as the company's RSPP (Responsabile del Servizio di Prevenzione e Protezione), taking ownership of all related legal responsibilities
  • Lead and ensure proper documentation and records management to support labor inspections
  • Create, implement, and continuously improve H&S processes and protocols at both technical and organizational levels
  • Lead or support the investigation of occupational incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver H&S training programs and track completion rates across the organization
  • Coordinate health surveillance programs in accordance with applicable regulations
  • Manage emergency planning, including the design and implementation of evacuation procedures
  • Handle Coordination of Business Activities (Coordinamento delle Attività Imprenditoriali – D.Lgs. 81/08 Art. 26) and liaise with contractors and third-party providers
  • Provide clear guidance and support to stakeholders, including leadership, on H&S matters
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Facilities, Operations, and Legal, to integrate safety into all areas of the business
  • Mentor and guide one junior H&S resource, supporting their professional growth

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • RSPP Qualification in accordance with Italian legislation (D.Lgs. 81/08)
  • Strong knowledge of Italian H&S regulations and experience applying them in a corporate or operational environment
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing Health & Safety processes
  • Solid track record of stakeholder management, including communication with leadership and external authorities
  • Experience working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, preferably in logistics, manufacturing, or tech/startup industries
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • Accident investigation
    • Emergency planning
    • CAE platforms (Coordinamento Attività Esterne)
    • Risk assessment and mitigation planning
    • Work inspections 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Hands-on attitude and the ability to work independently
  • Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Comfortable with travel and site visits across Italy as needed
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills; experience with JavaScript for automation or reporting is a strong plus
