Software Engineer I

Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Sev1Tech is seeking a Software Engineer I to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division. NIWC Atlantic provides design, acquisition, and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Information Technology (IT) systems.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Level Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems) 
• Minimum 6 months professional experience

Desired Qualifications

• Individual shall be working toward the relevant certifications within one and a half year after assuming duties:
• Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/ Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification:
• Microsoft role-based certifications
• Microsoft Certified Applicable Developer (MCAD)
• Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
• Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP)
• CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
• VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)
• Cloud certifications, etc.
