Sustainability Manager (part-time 2 days per week)

We’re seeking an organised, proactive, and people-oriented Sustainability Manager to lead the implementation of our Expana Good Business Framework. This is a part-time role (2 days per week), ideal for a skilled project manager with a passion for sustainability and ESG.
You will coordinate activity across departments, engage employees and leadership, track progress through structured reporting, and have the autonomy to shape a key strategic initiative in a collaborative, values-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

• Programme Management & Implementation
• Lead the rollout of our ESG and sustainability framework, focusing on Our Planet and Our Communities, and supporting Our People.
• Integrate sustainability goals into core business functions.
• Manage select sustainability projects end-to-end, including:
• Climate strategy and decarbonisation plan
• Establishing a global social impact charity partnership


• Stakeholder Coordination & Engagement


• Facilitate collaboration across Legal, HR, Communications, and Operations.
• Coordinate the Good Business Management Committee and employee-led sustainability initiatives.
• Develop internal champions to build momentum for sustainability projects.
• Support creation of sustainability thought-leadership content for public and internal channels.


• ESG Awareness & Culture Building


• Act as the internal sustainability advocate and subject matter contact.
• Plan awareness campaigns, training, and communications to engage employees.
• Coordinate volunteering, charity partnerships, and wellbeing-related initiatives.
• Internal Reporting & Metrics


• Develop internal reporting systems to track ESG/sustainability metrics.
• Provide regular updates to senior management with insights and recommendations.


• Certification & External Recognition


• Oversee submissions for ESG certification programmes (e.g., EcoVadis).
• Gather and manage data from departments for external assessments and benchmarks.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in programme/project management, with 3–4 years in sustainability, ESG, CSR, or responsible business programmes.
• Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills; comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Analytical mindset with data interpretation and insight-driven reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Familiarity with sustainability certifications and ESG frameworks.
• Knowledge of the food & beverage sector is a plus, but not required.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and passionate about responsible business.
