The Role: Sr Engineering Manager, AWS Migration (GTM)
Presidio is seeking an AWS (Amazon Web Services) Migration Go-to-Market Leader role within the Modern Platforms services business. Our Modern Platforms business is growing rapidly and includes Presidio's Migration, Cloud, Data Center, Virtualization, DevOps platform, Cloud Managed Services and Data Protection services practices. The ideal candidate will bring pre-sales, delivery, and leadership experience in the Migration and Modernization domain. This role will work with customers and internal Presidio organizations to evangelize on behalf of the Migration and Modernization practice and play a key role in developing offerings, messaging, and positioning continuous innovation.

This is a remote position in the United States with preference for candidates that live in the Eastern Time Zones. This position involves up to 30% travel. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide subject matter leadership and mentorship within the Migration and Modernization practice.
  • Operate as a developer of offerings in collaboration with the practice pre-sales and delivery leadership,
  • Experience engaging and managing key public cloud provider partners and migration product solution providers.
  • Engage and collaborate with larger audiences that would include C-level Technical Solutions Executives, including:
    • CTO, CIO, CDO, CISO, CSO
    • Enterprise architects and IT leads
    • Senior management in operations and engineering
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with the Presidio sales organization in support of sales objectives:
    • Sales Leadership and management
    • Field Sales AM, Client Directors, Sales VPs
    • National Practice BDM, SPL, EA Teams
  • Collaborate with other practices within the Modern Platforms business and throughout Presidio to drive all of our capabilities, develop multi-practice solutions, and develop go-to-market messaging.
  • Guide collaboration and development of portfolio of pre-sales and delivery methodology for Modern Platforms Migration offerings and solutions working with Pre-Sales and Delivery organizations.
  • This role will require exceptional skills in engaging and collaborating with larger audiences, including C-level Technical Solutions Executives.
  • Explain strategic and tactical concepts for teams modernizing platforms and applications in the digital and cloud migration journey.
  • Ability to act as a Trusted Advisor to Presidio’s sales and delivery organizations and customers to drive the Migration and Modernization Journey and provide a strategic roadmap for customers.
  • Engage in strategic pre-sales opportunities with sales and the Migration practice resources.
  • Operate as a Marketing conduit for the Migration practice, which may include messaging, writing, producing, and delivering technical content such as blogs, podcasts, videos, webinars, and driving conversations via digital marketing and social media outlets.
  • Present and market the technical and business value of the Modern Platform Migration Solutions Portfolio within Presidio to Sales and Technical teams
  • Participate in developing messaging/branding standards for Presidio Modern Solutions Migration portfolio.
  • Attend educational workshops, review publications, establish personal networks, and participate in professional associations to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
  • Research and communicate technology, industry, and market trends to internal and external clients.
  • Research competitive proposals and solutions to provide input to portfolio direction and effectively guide go-to-market messaging and capabilities.
  • Manage historical practice accomplishments and use cases, harvest and institutionalize valuable intellectual property and work product from successful pre-sales pursuits and projects.
  • Engage and build relationships with key partner and program leaders within AWS
  • Manage and evangelize AWS migration programs and funding solutions within Presidio and to customers.
  • Partner with consulting and engineering delivery teams to develop AWS specific methodology and solutions.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • 10+ years of consulting experience including 3-5 years of presales experience
  • 5-7 years combined experience in either Consulting presales OR delivery leadership and/or management
  • 3-5 years of experience designing, architecting AWS solutions
  • 5-7 years of Cloud solution development experience
  • Familiarity with Data, Software and/or AppDev solution development experience
  • Industry expertise with cloud native modernization solutions
  • Experience delivering and selling complex migration and modernization services to enterprise customers
  • Demonstrated ability to execute in a highly matrixed environment
  • Strong presence and track record of engaging and influencing executive stakeholders.
  • Authentic and transparent leader who builds a culture of success through customer relevance and impact.
  • Demonstration of Leadership, strong executive presence, and soft skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Depth of Industry Context and Solutions knowledge
