Foley & Lardner LLP is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Practice & Pricing Analytics to join our team. This is a leadership position within the Accounting & Finance Department and leads a team in support of the firm’s management in pricing, fee arrangements, matter budgets, practice analytics, etc.  #LI-Hybrid

Responsibilities

• Manages team of pricing analysts, ensuring the effective development of their skills through coaching, mentoring and training to support the firm’s strategic objectives in pricing and profitability
• Responsible for selection and hiring of new pricing analysts
• Oversees the development, evaluation, and execution of rates, alternative fee arrangements and task-based matter budgets
• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Practice and Pricing Analytics Team, including the workflow and job assignments of each team member
• Responsible for the integrity of the pricing and profitability systems
• Effectively use matter analytics to support principal billing partners during key client meetings and other client interactions
• Conducts analyses to monitor the performance of in-progress matters; works with firm leadership to develop and implement strategies to enhance profitability.
• Supports firm leadership by providing insight as to partner profitability and modeling for compensation decisions, including lateral partners
• Conducts and presents detailed analyses of financial trends
• Identifies and implements solutions that leverage various data sources to improve the firm’s pricing and matter planning operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in pricing, budgeting, estimating, project management, and financial analysis for law firms or other professional services organizations required
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing a pricing function in an AMLAW 200 firm required
• Experience in designing and analyzing business intelligence reports desired
• Legal Project Management experience desired

In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The figures below represent the full compensation range of this position. The actual offered amount will be between the range minimum and midpoint based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley. Chicago and Houston - $184,900 to $277,400
