Job Description
- As a Junior Quantitative Trader, you'll play a key role in supporting the development of data-driven strategies that fuel trading success in a fast-paced brokerage environment.
- Research, develop, and back-test quantitative models for pricing, hedging, and risk management across a multi-asset portfolio (FX, metals, crypto, energies, and equities).
- Build and test internal tools to automate trading operations and enhance team efficiency.
- Monitor the performance of live models and tools, proactively identifying and implementing refinements for optimal results.
- Assist in pricing, evaluating, and informing decisions on new products and promotions through analytical insights.
- Stay current with market trends, academic research, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
- Work closely with trading, risk, and development teams, providing data analysis and insights in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
Key Skills And Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn for data manipulation, analysis, and model building.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, multi-task, prioritize and meet strict deadlines.
- Sharp problem-solving skills with a keen interest in applying rigorous quantitative techniques to financial markets.
- Strong communication skills, combined with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn in a team-oriented setting.
Desirable:
- Prior experience in a brokerage or financial services environment.
- Familiarity with time-series analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- Knowledge of SQL for data querying, Power BI for visualization, and Linux for system operations.
