RN Case Mgr - Helen Keller Hospital, Case Management, PRN, 1st Shift

Overview

The case manager coordinates with physicians, nurses, social workers and other health team members to expedite medically appropriate, cost-effective care. The case manager applies clinical expertise and medical appropriateness criteria to resource utilization and discharge planning. Graduate of accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required Education: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure. Five years clinical experience strongly preferred. Comparable combination of education and experience will be considered. Previous utilization management, discharge planning or hospital based social service experience is very beneficial. Effective communication skills, verbal and written, as well as excellent organization skills are required.
