Job Description
The Role
The Junior Business Analyst plays a supportive role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and functional teams, contributing to the improvement of business processes and efficiency through technology solutions. This role involves assisting in eliciting, documenting, and analysing business requirements, translating them into actionable specifications for development, and supporting the full life-cycle of solution implementation. The Junior Business Analyst will learn to act as an interpreter and a subject matter expert, helping to ensure that technical solutions align with business objectives and deliver tangible value
This role will sit within our European Head Office teams, working with our sales, operations, and customer experience teams. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to gain experience with a real focus on large-scale programmes from the start through to completion of projects and programmes, whilst building knowledge and expertise into our internal processes.
What will you be doing?
- Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Collaborate with internal business areas to understand current processes, identify challenges, and assist in eliciting detailed end-user requirements
- Process Optimisation & Documentation: Provide support in business process analysis, identifying gaps, and proposing corrective actions. Coordinate, develop, and document standard business processes that are adaptable to meet specific local requirements. Gather, create, and document current and future business process flows
- System Implementation & Support: Support the implementation of new or revised solutions. Ensure appropriate training strategies are defined and delivered. Support with the implementation, testing, and documentation of new processes and applications
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements through system testing and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to deployment. Support various testing cycles (UAT, regression, system) and manage testing environments
- Project Coordination & Communication: Contribute to and prepare requirements definitions. Manage project scope, escalate issues, and provide timely progress reports to management. Effectively communicate ideas and findings of analysis through written, graphical, and oral presentations to diverse audiences, including senior management
- Change Management: Assess and communicate agreed business process changes, facilitating the adoption of new or enhanced solutions within the business. Ensure seamless handover of process ownership to local business management teams upon project completion.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- Previous Experience: This can include internships, project work, or up to 2 years in a similar role, ideally with exposure to business systems like CRM or ERP
- A strong interest in process improvement: You should be eager to learn how to implement changes and understand how new systems can improve business operations
- Experience with documentation: We're looking for someone who has helped with or is familiar with documenting business processes, gathering requirements, or writing use cases
- Exposure to business projects: You've had some involvement in business change projects, maybe as a project team member or by assisting a more senior analyst
- Familiarity with project methodologies: A basic understanding of different project management approaches like Agile or Waterfall is a plus
- A grasp of UI and UX basics: An understanding of what makes a good user interface and user experience is a bonus
- An interest in system design: You're keen to learn about how systems are designed, developed, and delivered
