The Quality Assurance CASS Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) audit findings, Corrective Action Responses (CARs), and performing analyses of audit and operational data to identify potential discrepancies with maintenance and inspection programs. They perform risk and root cause analysis, interface with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the identification of the root cause of system deficiencies in maintenance and inspection programs and evaluate current processes and procedures for effectiveness. This position is also responsible for preparing reports related to safety for department leaders. 

Here'S What You'Ll Do

  • Document and maintain CASS findings, CARs, and Root Causes in the Quality Database
  • Compile data from the Quality Database to create monthly reports
  • Develop analytical tools utilizing the Quality Database, focusing on systems that capture data needed to measure trends of operational, quality audit, investigation, and safety data
  • Utilize data modeling to design systems and view processes and data flows for systems analysis
  • Evaluate internal compliance and effectiveness of established policies, practices, and procedures
  • Analyze processes and procedures that are prone to create erroneous data, and conduct testing to ensure that systems operate as expected
  • Conduct analyses of operational data obtained through quality audits, investigations, and safety reviews to provide mitigation recommendations to leadership
  • Create and edit reports and analyses intended to highlight and resolve safety related issues throughout the organization
  • Support Quality Assurance Auditors with preparing audits through research, risk analysis, and scheduling of audits
  • Prepare CARs and accomplish follow-up when deficiencies are identified
  • Determine root cause of system deficiencies of Maintenance and Inspection Programs by interfacing with the operational, audit, and reliability departments
  • Identify and prioritize system audits using risk assessment methods
  • Review analysis results to determine risk associated with Maintenance and Inspection Programs
  • Conduct follow-up analysis to ensure compliance with and test the effectiveness of corrective and preventative actions

Here'S What You'Ll Need To Be Successful

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement
  • 5+ years of Aviation Maintenance experience
  • 2+ years of Quality Assurance/Inspection experience
  • Understanding and working knowledge of FAR part 5, 39, 43, 65, 91, 121, and 145, as well as AC 120-79 and 145-9
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a valid passport with no travel restrictions
  • Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be flexible and willing to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed
  • Must be willing to travel over 10% of the time
  • Must be willing to work with other departments within the company as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Aerospace or Aviation Maintenance, or equivalent industry related work experience
  • 5+ years of FAR 121 air carrier Aircraft Maintenance or Quality Control/Assurance experience
  • Understanding of Safety Management System (SMS) rules

Skills/Talents

  • Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Tableau or similar analytical software systems
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate with both internal and external customers
  • Must be able to handle high-stress situations
  • Ability to work with fellow Team Members with a variety of personalities
  • Ability to multi-task easily
  • Must be fluent in English
