- Hours: 37.5 Hours per week
- Status: Temporary Full-Time (up to 12 months)

As an integral member of the Redevelopment Projects Team, the Senior Project Coordinator assists in organizing and orchestrating construction projects, under the direction of the Redevelopment Projects Manager or designate. The Redevelopment Projects Team is responsible for the implementation of all construction and renovations projects across all campuses under the UHN umbrella. The majority of the work constitutes interior renovations where work is undertaken in a live clinical environment.
The Senior Project Coordinator's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the development and implementation of strategies to facilitate the cost effective and timely execution of multiple/simultaneous large/small scale construction projects for assigned user groups;
- Coordinating and implementing large/small scale planning and redevelopment strategies for assigned user group;
- Defining project scope by outlining project objectives and goals required to meet standards;
- Performing quality management responsibilities;
- Performing administrative responsibilities to ensure the efficient and effective operation of assigned projects;
- Conduct project walkthroughs, provide consultation and conduct stakeholder meetings to manage objectives, expectations and deficiencies.
- Monitoring the progress and quality of work associated with project outcomes; monitoring and maintaining project management tools;
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of required documentation using predesigned procurement documents for the generation of purchase orders and approval of invoice payment;
- Assists in the monitoring of the progress and quality of work being performed by consultants, contractors and suppliers/vendors for the purpose of managing project timelines and deliverables;
- Assisting with monitoring project budget activity
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized 3 year community college program in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Urban Planning or recognized equivalent;
- Minimum 3 years related experience in project coordination;
- Knowledge of Project Management fundamentals required;
- Knowledge of Building Code, an asset
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, an asset;
- Experience in AutoCAD architectural drafting in detailed design, an asset;
- Experience utilizing programs such as Adobe Pro and Bluebeam, an asset;
- Previous experience working in hospital environment, an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, and collaboratively with consultants, vendors, contractors;
- Familiarity in construction, contract administration, building assemblies/science;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to manage minutes, emails, meetings, and client/stakeholder/vendor relationships;
- Process and organizational abilities;
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capacities
