  • Supporting a portfolio of 7-8 homes within the GTA, this position is required to be on the sites 3x a week (407 ETR usage and mileage reimbursement applies)

What you will be doing:  Supporting our clinical management leaders in the front-line operations, you will be the HR Business Partner for 7 to 8 Long Term Care sites within a designated region in Ontario within the GTA. Reporting to the Director of HR Business Partner, this role is critical in supporting front line operations with their HR needs including but not limited to HR policies, programs, progressive discipline, investigations, and day-to-day inquiries from staff. 

  • Facilitates professional and superior customer service by partnering with a client group tosupport all HR matters, including, but not limited to recruitment; retention; labour and teammember relation issues; interpretation of human resources policy and procedure, collectiveagreements, employment legislation; grievance management; performance management;attendance management; compensation packages; W.S.I.B. management; Health and Safetypractices; benefit, retirement and pension plans;
  • Supports a client group in performance management and compensation related effortsincluding compensation planning, and guidance on performance feedback;
  • Partners with business leaders to provide day to day performance management guidanceconsistent with the organization policies, including coaching, counseling, managing poorperformance, providing difficult performance management feedback and champion careerdevelopment needs;
  • Provide strategic support for the business by partnering in the development of a talentmanagement strategy to support team member engagement around succession, planning,development and coaching
  • Drive communication to help facilitate change management process through the business,assisting leaders and team members in understanding and supporting the organizationalchanges

What You Need To Know:

  • Minimum 7 years of human resources consulting experience; CHRP designation is preferred
  • Long Term Care or Health Care experience is considered an asset 
  • Demonstrated ability to consult, influence and partner with senior leaders in developingand/or executing people strategies to drive business performance;
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills at all levels of the organization;
  • Demonstrated success resolving complex HR issues;
  • Has working knowledge of Labour and Canadian employment law, current HR trends and theability to use such knowledge proactively in consulting with clients;
  • Ability to consult on application of policy and process as well as trends, themes, andsolutions;
  • Ability to anticipate changes required within the business and to drive such changes inpartnership with business leaders;
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion and initiative in dealing with confidentialinformation and/or in responding to inquiries;
  • You must successfully pass a Criminal Check
  • Travel to Long Term Care sites is a requirement of the role - successful candidate must have access to a reliable vehicle and G license (407 ETR usage and mileage reimbursement applicable)
