Job Summary:

 The Team Lead position is crucial for assisting the Warehouse Supervisor in driving efficient day-to-day warehouse operations. This role will collaborate directly with Operators 1, 2, and 3, Quality Assurance specialists, Production personnel, and supervisory staff. Team Lead will oversee and perform warehouse operations to include receiving incoming materials, handling and storage, picking and staging production orders, and preparing customer shipments. This role demands strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to excel in a team environment. 

Primary Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Team Lead is a Subject Matter Expert proficient in all warehouse operations, from Shipping, Receiving, Staging, and Inventory Control, to Waste Management.   
  • Lead cross-functional problem-solving and troubleshooting activities. Provides guidance or investigates usual or difficult inquiries, may direct to the appropriate individual as needed.  
  • Team Lead attends daily lineside meetings in Production, passes along staging priorities, and performs shift change duties. 
  • Team Lead maintains daily metrics, monitors schedule changes, staging delays, right the first time. 
  • Assist in the completion of daily tasks on time, confirm batches are staged and labelled accurately, and work to reduce errors and increase efficiency. 
  • Supports Warehouse Supervisor with inventory management activity, training personnel, leading investigations, managing waste disposal processes, and leading and participating in special projects. 
  • Responsible for confirming production schedule to prioritize and assign tasks: customer order, batch orders, shipping order, or receiving and determining items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed. 
  • Trains and instructs new and existing staff on job functions and the proper use and operation of all equipment, maintaining preventive checklists for warehouse equipment (Forklifts, manual pallet jacks, electronic pallet jacks, Floor scrubbers, etc.). 
  • Assist the Supervisor and Management with development plans and strategically execute plans to meet department goals. May provide documented input to the supervisor for corrective action, monitor the effectiveness of training tools, and make recommendations for changes, process improvements, and candidate selection.  
  • Creates cycle count work, performs random inventory audits, completes RM reconciliation, and weekly ±2k Transaction Report. Notify the supervisor of any discrepancies.  
  • Operates and maintains preventive checklists for warehouse equipment (Forklifts, manual pallet jacks, electronic pallet jacks, Floor scrubbers, etc.). 
  • Monitor employee performance to ensure proper movement of inventory and accuracy of inventory. 
  • Communicate effectively orally, in writing, and electronically, and work collaboratively with other departments (i.e., sales team, logistics team, and other departments) to fulfill all orders accurately and on time.  
  • Team Lead will comply and ensure that all other warehouse operators follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. This includes wearing PPE for the department and PPE per the product safety data sheet. Take immediate action to correct and report any safety concerns and escalate to the supervisor/manager. 
  • Responsible for scheduled waste pick-up and completion of documentation accurately. Maintain waste logs and manage hazardous waste disposal (neutralize acid waste), satellite waste, expired, or damaged goods. Performs weekly inspection of waste area to ensure waste is properly stored and destroyed following cGMP guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures.  

Requirements And Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Preferred Experience: Minimum 4 yrs. prior warehouse experience.  
  • Preferred Experience: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks (manual and electric), and computer-based inventory systems. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check and drug test. 
  • Complete and obtain all Forklift and required equipment Certifications. 
  • Capable of lifting and moving heavy objects. 
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions. 
  • Regularly stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accurately maintains documentation and GMP Records. 
  • Proven to work independently, demonstrates leadership skills and initiative for making improvements to optimize warehouse operations.   
  • Able to share knowledge and train others in general, common warehouse, and specialized areas of warehouse operations. 
  • Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Adaptable to changes in priorities, work assignments and other interactions that may impact pre-established courses of action for completing projects and assignments. 
  • Proficient in MS Office products (specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel), and inventory management system. 
  • Ability to read information and apply what was described in the reading material to situations which may contain several details or describe processes involving several steps. 
  • Demonstrate ability to perform basic math functions using a calculator (add, subtract, multiply, divide, rounding, etc.). 
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible with daily work assignment changes as well as a continuously improving work environment. 
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule.  Overtime might be required for this position.

Short-term disability will provide 70% income replacement up to $1,350 per week and long-term disability will provide 60% income replacement up to $5,000 per month.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
