Working Student QA Engineer - App & Web (m/f/d)

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Working Student QA Engineer (m/f/d) who is eager to join our Webstack Team at ABOUT YOU.

Our Webstack Team constantly improves the App, Mobile Website and Desktop Website. These big-scale products are each visited by several million people every month. The team’s focus is to provide the most inspiring, convenient, intuitive, and easy-to-use shopping experience for our customers. They constantly challenge themselves to raise the bar of what is “state of the art” in customer-facing products.

What You Will Do:

• Perform high-quality manual and automated testing for the ABOUT YOU Web Shop, covering the whole customer journey 
• Collaborate closely with web developers to understand project requirements and provide input on testing strategies
• Supporting the creation of bug reports or tickets from internal and external stakeholders, prioritizing them based on their business value, and ensuring timely resolution
• Learning the development and enhancement of ABOUT YOU's long-term automated testing strategy
• Learning best practices and driving continuous improvement
• Help to distribute testing efforts to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality features

Who You Are:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, or a related field
• Passion for delivering innovative features quickly while maintaining high reliability standards
• Detail-oriented approach to testing and strong problem-solving skills 
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and take ownership
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to articulate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Passionate about e-commerce and digital products

Nice To Have:

• Some experience in debugging JavaScript
• Familiarity with automated testing tools like Cypress
