Your New Job

As a Process Leader for MAKE, you'll play an important part in the team. Your primary focus will be leading the development and implementation of MAKE processes at IKEA Industry, working closely with local experts and the Process Owner to support operational excellence. The process Leader for MAKE is responsible to continuously improve the manufacturing process, digital solutions and reports to support optimal productivity at our factories. The MAKE process includes how we schedule production activities, issue material, produce, package, stage and release the product.

On a typical working day, you will:

  • Lead development and implementation of MAKE processes at IKEA Industry.
  • Lead a team of local experts and engaging them in the development, training and knowledge sharing activities cross IKEA Industry production units.
  • Capture, challenge, and transform business needs into global standards and based on this set the requirements for related digital solutions.
  • Prioritize development activities to reach optimal business results.
  • Collaborate with the Process and Solution Area team and production teams in the factories.

As Process Leader for MAKE you will join a team of experienced Process Leaders for our core processes PLAN, SOURCE, DELIVER and MAINTAIN that challenge and support each other to reach our goals. Even though we are leading our own processes we find ways to collaborate and also have a lot of have fun together. We are not only theoretical process leaders, rather hands-on and frequently collaborating with our colleagues in the factories. Among other things this is really what makes this role and this team fantastic.

Location for this position is flexible and can sit in either Malmö, Sweden or in any of our IKEA Industry factory locations in Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, China, Portugal or Lithuania.

Qualifications

What we'd like you to bring to the table

The role as a Process Leader for MAKE requires you to:

  • Possess strong knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes, project, and change management.
  • Demonstrate indirect leadership capabilities with process development, standardization and optimization skills based on your years of experience within this area.
  • Responsible for identifying improvement areas and break it down to a strategic roadmap with initiatives.
  • Knowledge and experience with Analytics and digital solution development e.g. Power BI.
  • Knowledge and capability in how to define and follow up on metrics, KPIs etc.
  • Implement new ideas and solutions in a large organization.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to build relationships at all levels and by that also be able to communicate with impact on all levels, from shopfloor to management teams.

It's a plus if you also:

  • Have a Master's or University Degree in Production & Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
  • Hold experience with Lean, Industry 4.0, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
