Build Something Monumental For Healthcare!

At Tandem Health we’re reimagining healthcare by putting clinicians first. Our platform - designed by clinicians, for clinicians - is built on deep insight into real-world pain points, with intuitive medical notes and workflows that truly support patient care.

We’re a fast-scaling health-tech company backed by top investors and expanding globally. We move fast, stay curious, and believe building something that matters starts with an extraordinary team. If you're passionate about impact and innovation, we'd love to meet you!

About The Role & You

You’re someone who loves experimenting with new tools and models and in your professional life you have an uncompromising standard for quality, something that has made you an expert in model evaluation and reliability. Your curiosity pushes you to understand systems end-to-end, but your true passion lies in perfecting the core algorithms that power everything. In previous roles, your goal has always been to deliver real value to users.

AI has the potential to transform healthcare, but getting there is no simple feat. Models can hallucinate, data is sensitive, and the stakes are incredibly high. Making AI reliable enough for healthcare is a generational challenge, and at Tandem Health we’re looking for someone to lead that charge for Europe’s healthcare systems.

At Tandem, you’ll lead the work of building the core AI algorithms that power our next-generation medical devices. This means setting up systems from the ground up, driving evaluation and iteration on models, and pushing innovation so that our products reach the level of quality healthcare can truly rely on.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape both the product and our engineering culture. If you’re excited by the challenge of building AI that actually works in healthcare - and leading the way there - we’d love to meet you.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the design and development of LLM-powered systems - from foundational model pipelines to APIs and user-facing applications that are critical to clinical workflows.
  • Pioneer advanced context engineering techniques to make models deeply aware of patient and domain-specific context, enabling safe and reliable outputs with no hallucinations.
  • Design and run rigorous evaluations to measure model quality, reliability, and performance, turning qualitative feedback into quantitative insights that drive iteration.
  • Build and deploy end-to-end AI applications, from data ingestion and preprocessing to production deployment and monitoring in clinical environments.
  • Set the technical direction for our AI efforts, leading and mentoring other talented engineers while fostering a culture of technical excellence, safety, and innovation.

What You Bring

  • A proven track record of leading or driving the implementation of advanced AI systems, from concept to production.
  • Deep experience building and deploying LLM-based systems at scale, including rolling out products to real users in production environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly translate complex AI concepts to diverse audiences, from engineers to clinicians to executives.
  • A bias toward action, ownership, and proactivity. You raise the bar for everyone around you.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with speech to text.
  • Experience building production data analytics and AB-testing.
  • Prior work in healthcare tech or regulated environments.
  • Deep understanding of clinical workflows, EHR systems, and medical documentation processes.

Location

We believe the best ideas happen when we’re together. This role is based in our vibrant HQ in the Epicenter building in the heart of Stockholm where you will work primarily from our office to collaborate, connect, and build our culture.

How To Apply

We adopt a continuous selection process, so please make sure to apply with your CV in English.

Our interview process consists of 4 stages:

  1. Screening interview with Talent Acquisition
  2. Shorter technical interview with one of senior engineers
  3. Follow up technical interview with some of our Engineering team
  4. First interview with our CTO & Co-Founder

  • Social and team-building activities (off-sites, after works, winter/summer parties)
  • An opportunity to make a real positive impact in the world of healthcare
  • Work with some of the best minds in AI, healthcare, and engineering.

We review our benefits packages on a regular basis and might modify our benefits from time to time.
