You as a Director, Tax will:

• Lead EllisDon’s global income tax and sales tax compliance, in particular:
• Lead and mentor the tax team.
• Manage CRA, provincial, federal and state tax audits and relationships with authorities.
• Oversee preparation of tax provisions under ASPE and US GAAP, and lead the related annual financial statement audit process.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies.
• Stay current on tax legislation and advise leadership of impacts.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, legal, and operations teams on tax matters.
• Manage external advisors and consultants effectively.
• Canadian income tax and sales tax compliance (including, GST/HST, QST and PST in each province).
• United States income tax and sales tax compliance, across many states.

Is this the right role for you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
• CPA designation and completion of In-Depth Tax program required.
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience, including demonstrated leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in Canadian income tax, sales tax, and tax accounting.
• Experience with United States income tax, sales tax, and tax accounting.
• Experience managing audits and rulings.
• Experience with large, complex, multinational organizations.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to travel between London, ON and Mississauga, ON offices, with periodic travel to other regional offices.
